How to Create a Voice Widget for Your Website
In your Assistantz.ai dashboard, open the widget section, select an assistant with its tools already assigned, choose an orb or play-button style, customize its appearance, and grab the embed code. Paste it into your website's code editor, save, and preview — visitors will need to grant microphone permission to talk to it.
A voice widget turns any page on your website into a place a visitor can talk to your AI assistant directly — no phone call needed.
Before you start
Have an assistant already created, with the tools it needs assigned — booking, calendar access, or anything else it should be able to do mid-conversation. See how to create your chat and voice assistant.
Steps
- Log in and access sub-accounts. Navigate to the account menu, then the relevant GoHighLevel sub-account’s assistant.
- Go to the widget section to create a new widget.
- Confirm the assistant is ready — it needs its tools already assigned before the widget will be useful.
- Choose the widget style: an orb, or a play button.
- Customize and save. Select the assistant, adjust the appearance, save, and copy the embed code.
- Embed and test. Paste the code into your website’s code editor, save the site changes, and preview the page to confirm the widget loads and responds.
Cautionary notes
- Some browsers don’t load custom widget icons properly — test on the browsers your visitors actually use.
- The widget needs microphone and speaker permission from the visitor’s browser to hold a voice conversation; make sure your page doesn’t block that permission prompt.
